A Wildflower Family Wellbeing Workshop

Honoring and cultivating the Spirit of Service

Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The Italian Hall | 201 Piazza Italia, San Antonio, TX

In celebration of Veterans Gratitude Week 2026, Wildflower is proud to partner with Mel Marie Yoga, in benefit for the Veterans Yoga Project, for a special family wellbeing experience dedicated to honoring the spirit of service, cultivating gratitude, and inspiring generosity across generations.

Join us as we discover how the spirit of service strengthens our communities and creates a more compassionate world for all.

Together, we'll honor the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of our veterans and reflect on the freedoms their service helps protect.

Through mindful movement and creative makership, we will explore the relationship between gratitude and giving, discovering how small acts of kindness, compassion, and service can create lasting ripples of positive change.

The Experience

10:00–11:00 AM | Move & Mind

Parallel experiences for adults and children

For Adults, Caregivers & Veterans

Enjoy 45 minutes of gentle & adaptive yoga designed to cultivate presence, gratitude, and inner strength. This accessible, restorative practice invites participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and reflect on the people, experiences, and freedoms for which they are grateful.

All levels of yoga experience are welcome. Modifications will be offered to support a range of abilities and comfort levels.

For Children

While adults enjoy their practice, children will gather in a dedicated space downstairs for an enriching experience of playful movement and creative exploration. Through age-appropriate activities, children will discover what it means to be grateful, recognize their own unique strengths, and explore how kindness and helping others can make our world a better place.

11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Make & Connect

A shared family makership experience

Families reunite for a meaningful hour of hands-on creativity, conversation, and connection. Together, we'll reflect on the gifts that make each family member unique, celebrate the people and freedoms we cherish, and explore how we can put our talents into service to others.

Through a collaborative family art project, we will transform gratitude into intention, and intention into action, creating a tangible reminder that service begins with the everyday choices we make to care for one another.

Our hope is that every family leaves feeling more connected, more grateful, and more empowered to carry the spirit of service into their homes, schools, and communities.
